My name is Jack, I’m an engineer based in the UK, currently working as part of the team at Anzen to deliver products that offer ‘quantum immune’ data storage. Primarily, that involves building modules and services for our core product API and backend, but as is the nature of life at a start up I’ve been involved in everything from marketing to R&D contracts and project management.

Previously I trained and worked for 3 years as a barrista at a local independant espresso bar in South West London near where I grew up, and before that I studied at the Universtiy of the Arts London, on the Elephant & Castle campus(LCC).

On my own time I have an interest in analogue photography and illustration, I’m learning how to write with more clarity, and I spend 4 days a week in the gym. I feel like media preferences are a useful way of giving an impression of someone (I should really act on my desire to incorperate a review section to this site): I’ve recently been listening to Mammal Hands, The Mountain Goats, Kate Bush and Wilt. I’ve enjoyed watching Pluribus, The Boys, Hamnet, and ‘I Swear’. I’ve been reading ‘8 Feet in the Andes’, ‘House of Leaves’, ‘Murderbot’, and I am just about to start ‘Violence’ by Slavoj Žižek. I’ve been playing probably too much Guild Wars 2, and back-seat gaming my partners brothers Expedition 33 playthrough.
